Eddie and Dawn married in 1984. They have four married children and eleven  grandchildren at this time. They live in the upstate of SC.

Eddie is a graduate of the University of SC where he played football and baseball.

Eddie, a former president of the South Carolina Baptist convention, holds advanced degrees from Southeastern Seminary and Trinity Theological Seminary. He served as lead pastor for 37 years.

Dawn holds a degree from Southeastern Seminary as well. She has spent most of her shared ministry with Eddie serving students and women while being a stay at home mom.

Together they launched Leopard Home Base Ministries to support and strengthen families to create Christ centered homes.
